Connect your assistant
Use Memm from Codex, Claude Code, or a compatible MCP client.

Connection address
Memm provides an authenticated HTTP MCP server:
https://memm.ai/api/mcp
MCP lets an assistant discover and call Memm tools. It is not an unauthenticated generation URL. Use a compatible MCP client and authenticate with your Memm account. Tool access requires an eligible paid Memm plan. Your assistant subscription and Memm membership are separate.
Codex
In the Codex CLI, add the server and sign in through the browser:
codex mcp add memm --url https://memm.ai/api/mcp
codex mcp login memm
Open a fresh session after connecting. Ask it to list Memm models before doing any paid work. See the official Codex MCP instructions for your client version.
Claude Code
Add the HTTP server:
claude mcp add --transport http memm https://memm.ai/api/mcp
In Claude Code, open /mcp, select Memm, and authenticate. See the official Claude Code instructions for connection scopes and your client version.
ChatGPT and other clients
If your client supports custom remote MCP connections, add the connection address above and follow its sign-in and consent flow. In ChatGPT, custom connection availability depends on your plan and workspace settings; start with the Memm connection guide.
Use a new conversation after reconnecting so the assistant can load the current tools. Seeing a model name in a conversation does not prove that its generation tool is connected.
API keys and permissions
For clients using bearer authentication, create a Memm key in Settings. Send it in the Authorization: Bearer … header through the client’s secret configuration. Do not paste real keys into prompts, shared repositories, screenshots, or this documentation. Revoke a key from settings if it is exposed.
OAuth connections request read access and, for actions such as generation or uploads, generation access. A successful sign-in does not remove plan or credit requirements.
Check the connection for free
Ask: “Use memm_list_models, memm_list_projects, and memm_get_credits. Report what is available, without generating anything.”
If a model or setting is missing, refresh the connection and start a new conversation. The tool reference lists the current documented inputs.
